Clubman bars installed. Bummed about the fitment of the OEM front master cylinder, it contacts the gauge and still needs to come about 1.5" further up the bar for the throttle to install flush with end of the bar. :banghead:

As long as I like the way the bars ride and handle, I'll buy a smaller form-factor master cylinder to fix this issue.
    Sad bike. :

    Work space:

Got the gears modified and installed on the countershaft, ready to put back into the case tomorrow.

I'm hoping to ride this thing Sunday.

Slight hiccup with the trans, had the shifter linkage misaligned when I put it back together. All is well, now.

Clubman bars REALLY change the bike. I feel much more in control of the bike now. It used to kind of feel like I was just along for the ride, on top of the heavy bike. Now I feel more connected and definitely have more control and a more precise turn-in. I didn't try to lean it over any on the new tires, but it definitely feels a lot more nimble than it used to.

        Hi GoRacer

I thought about making my bike into a cafe also. I think I am going to keep it as original as possible right now. I have a xs750 I would like to cafe. Is yours basically done or are you going to do more? If you are going to get rid of your seat let me know. I have been looking for over a year for a seat like that. They are not easy to find. Anyhow, keep up the good work.

Did you end up buying a slimmer master cylinder? Swapping to clubman soon and I've heard about this issue in a few threads.. if you did go slim, what/from where did you buy?

              Master Cylinder....

Yeah I had the same problem with mine.
So I went out and bought one that has the remote reservoir.

You have to make sure you get the one that has the 5/8" piston like this one for dual front brakes.

              Good Luck and keep going.
